Foods Against Liver Cancer

 Liver cancer is the fifth most common cancer and the third leading cause of cancer mortality in the world. Chronic infection with hepatitis B and C are the main causes of this illness in humans of any ages.

We looked into foods that fight against liver cancer. Although it will not cure the illness, it is wise to eat well with the hopes to fight off any bad cells in the human body. Being informed of what we can do is one of the most important steps to take concerning our health. Green Tea is known to eliminate the development of cancer. By having 2-3 cups of Green Tea per day, you are  well on the way of fighting cancer development.

saffronA new cancer medication called Sorafenib is used for advanced liver and kidney cancer and also appears to be effective against cancer stem cells in pancreatic cancer. During tests done in laboratories, they have found that this medicine, together with a substance found in broccoli called sulforaphane, has shown drastic results in fighting liver cancer. Liver and Pancreatic cancer is often discovered too late. Medical professionals now believe more than ever that eating the correct fruits and vegetables from a young age will definitely fight off cancer causing cells. So it makes sense to eat broccoli seeing as the active ingredient in this vegetable is on our side against the cancer battles.

Research also suggests that saffron provides a significant chemopreventive effect against liver cancer. Although saffron is a commonly used spice, adding flavor and color to foods, it now seems to possibly fight cancer too. It appears to promote cell death of cancer cells and blocking inflammation.
